The Guru & The Grace – Sadhguru says – no need to go in search of the Guru, just do your own sadhana and prepare yourself, and the Guru will appear when you are ready…brief note mentioned in the article – Spiritual Lessons. I was searching for a Guru, because I had recognised and accepted my weaknesses. I had realized that whatever I know or whatever I can do, it is not sufficient to go through in life. I needed guidance & support, and I went to a few places seeking and asking for help. I visited the Isha centre in Jan-Feb 2021, for the first time, and here I found what I was searching everywhere else, I found the Guru.

It happened just like how he says – there is no such thing as failure in life, so it is better I tried and failed at other places, failed by the other Gurus & Acharyas, and then when I reached here, it was the real feeling. I had completed the Inner Engineering program in April-May 2020, in Almaty. Wife & myself completed the seven steps together, by the 7-day video-program, then I completed the Shambhavi practice initiation in May-June 2021, after a year.
Attending the Isha Hatha Yoga program at Isha Centre, Coimbatore
I got a chance to participate in the Isha Hata Yoga – 21 days program from 25th May to 14th June, 2022. It was my first ever yoga class at the age of 35 years.
The biggest mistake we make in our lives – it is to think that we have ‘time.’ Sadhguru was introduced to yoga at the age of 11 or 12 years and by the time he was 24-25 years he had already achieved good level of expertise in yoga practices. Sadhguru is an ideal spiritual inspiration for the present & future generations and therefore it will be very useful & helpful for the children if they start to learn-practice yoga at an early age.
I started yog-sadhana with a certain lifelong disability without knowing anything about yoga, but nobody would have come to help if I remained bed-ridden for the rest of my life. Although, I cannot do certain yog-asanas properly and I do not know even the names of many yog-asanas but the yoga- practice every day is a liberating experience. Nobody can help & nobody will help unless I will make efforts to help myself, and with the blessings of Sadhguru, I was able to recover to a certain level of physical-psychological fitness, to be able to participate and learn the Hatha-Yoga program.
Attending the Naga Pratishtha, consecration at Isha Centre, Bangalore
I completed the registration for Naga Pratishtha on 1st Aug, 2022, and then started preparing for the consecration event, also, preparing for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi puja on 31st Aug, 2022, the annual spiritual event at the resort.
I attended the Naga consecration ceremony by Sadhguru on Sunday, 9th Oct, 2022 – Sharad/Kojagari Purnima Tithi, Ashwin lunar month ending-Kartik month beginning – at the Isha Yoga Centre, Chikkaballapur, Karnataka.
Notes from the event day –
1. Sadhguru arrived by around 0530pm and completed the process by 1230 am on 10th Oct, 2022. He said that it was the next-first Naga Pratishtha in over 800 years, since the last time it happened in the world. He shared his childhood memories of Chikkaballapur, the native place of his mother and-also the story of a yogi who had cursed the people-place which would cause less or no rains in this place, but since the last 2years it has started to rain very well in the area after starting the Isha centre, Bhoomi puja and other rituals were done.
2. Sadhguru said that the people should change one thing about their thinking that – I will do it, only when I will understand it. Our understanding of the world is based only on the 5 senses which is also very limited perception of life, because of the limited spiritual awareness of life & Nature. Naga is a possibility which can help us to enhance the perception-awareness based on 5 senses, also, it is a possibility to go beyond the 5 senses. He gave a suitable example with a story given below – Sadhguru shared the story of King Ashok – when he wanted to have a living experience to see Gautam Buddha. King Ashok learned that it was possible only with the help & support of the perception of Naga- so he found a suitable snake, a Cobra. The desire & devotion to see Gautam Buddha was so strong that he was ready to give up his kingdom and he showed it by putting the Cobra on his throne and making him the King. It is said that King Ashok had a living experience of Gautam Buddha with the help of Naga. Naga Pratishtha worked for me immediately to understand something very important related to my spiritual program work. I will share the example below as I will complete this article – after completing the spiritual process starting from Purnima on 9th Oct to Amavas on 25th Oct, 2022.
3. Sadhguru said the new Isha Yoga centre near Bangalore will be the centre of 4 main types of Yoga in one space, i.e., Gyan-Yog, Karma-Yog, Kriya-Yog & Bhakti-Yog. I feel that my spiritual journey is based on Bhakti-Yog, the yog-sadhana with devotion, and it is the only source of everything that I know and everything that I can do now. The longing for spiritual life, and even the struggle searching & seeking for the Guru, it has been a unique experience that has evolved my life & perception. During Naga Pratishtha – I remembered the names of all the people who are willing & longing for such spiritual experiences of life, they are part of the spiritual journey.
4. During the consecration process, Sadhguru spoke about Alchemy, i.e., the whole idea of consecration is to make anything, even a rock or stone, into a divine possibility. The consecration process involved – ‘Ras-Danda’, prepared with solidified Mercury, at room temperature, and energising it with devotional chants and kriya of all the 15-16 thousand people participating in the ceremony. Sadhguru said to everyone – you have the opportunity now and your own devotion-discipline & dedication will decide your role in the consecration process. Alchemy is very high spiritual awareness of chemistry and as per Sadhguru, he is alive because of Mercury. In the same way, he says that the Cobra venom is not poison, it is a rare & precious elixir of life in the right hands with the right kind of spiritual awareness. My role & participation in the consecration was combined with the support of the people, who are part of my pilgrimage & prayers. I wish & pray to do the best for everyone. During the consecration, around 10pm, there was some devotional chant-kriya for about 20 mints – after that the ‘Ras-Danda’ was placed in the ‘Randhra’ on top of the Naga Yantra-shrine – Sadhguru said later that those who prepared well are part of the energy of this Yantra and the consecration process but it took a lot of work to prepare for that 10-20 minute of time or ‘Kala’.
Sadhguru had already shared important details about – Kala, Sarp & Kalasarp-dosha. I did my best during the Naga Pratishtha and now sharing some details of yog-sadhana before & after the ceremony because a lot of efforts was put in preparation – reading, learning & practicing – to be receptive to every word-instruction of Sadhguru and to grasp as much as possible.
Attending the Guru Mahima program at Isha Centre, Coimbatore
